FalconView (#1) - Win32 Error on Client Link (#19) - Message List
I was trying to install FalconView on Windows 7. I tried disabling DEP for route server and still it was set as enabled. Dont know why. But I keep getting this error on fvw.exe - Win32 Error on Client Link and at the end when I close FalconView it says HRESULT:80004003
Any help is appreciated.
I am using FalconView 4.1.1

What version of FalconView/PFPS (since you mention the route server it must not be the Open Source Version).
None of the shipping (government) versions have been formally certified on Windows 7 but we certainly would like to know of any issues.

I finally figured it out and fixed it.
It seems that on 64-bit versions, the PFPS.RouteServer.exe loads up in a x64 .NET environment. By using Ldr64.exe (in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727), to switch to 32-bit mode, I was able to launch FalconView to connect to the route server.
It wasn't the problem of Windows 7. Installation was the main issue as it wouldn't install Sql Server 2005 and I installed Sql Server 2005 sp3 (supported on Windows 7) and it wasn't able to attach the databases while installing. I had to attach it manually.
Thanks.

How did you manually attach the database? I am having the same problem in windows 7. Sometimes I can get it to work but other times it freezes up and I get the win32 error. Thanks

To get Falconveiw to run correctly in Windows, you need the new Vista Compatable version of AMPS (version R7.3.9)
install it, then when you goto run it the first time goto your start/all programs/pfps and right click on falconview.
goto properties and goto the compatability tab
check the box next to "Run as Administrator"
repeat these steps for CFPS
everything should work fine.
