Importing Coordinates into map?

I have a Text file with all my coordinates and I want to know how can I import these into the default TIROS (4Km) (RASTER) map?

    One way to do this in the with the Points overlay's tabular editor. See the help file's Import Data (Overlay Tabular Editor) topic. This will create an icon for each point in your file.

    You may also need to adjust the Point overlay's scale threshold in the Overlay Options dialog so that the points will display on the small-scale (4 km) TIROS map.
